Do Your Rent Guitars?

Guitar Rental:

Do I rent guitars? Unfortunately, at this point in time, no I do not. It’s a great question! Renting is a great way to 'take a peek' and not have an unused guitar lying around should interest wane and vanish.

Perhaps I will find a way to rent beginner guitars in the future. Presently: By the time a deposit of $40 and $30/month rental, we are $40 away from an entire beginner guitar package. Granted, while most deposits are refunded upon return of the instrument, a two-month rental is halfway to a beginner guitar package.

Should there be one in your area, I do believe that Guitar Center offers rental guitars. I am not certain of their rental policies or cost.

A local guitar store may also be an option for guitar rentals.

There is also the option of purchasing (maybe even renting) a used guitar from a mom & pop music store, pawnshop, or big chain like Guitar Center.

Beginner Guitars for Purchase:
There are lots of low-price-point beginner guitars (and beginner guitar sets) for sale both online and at music stores (and even stores like Walmart).

With a budget of $110-$189, there are many options that include everything that is needed to get started. These are full-size guitars (acoustic or electric) that get the job done. Plus, these packages include items like a strap, tuner, picks, extra strings, cables, amplifiers….

I have written more about this in my blog.

Keep on strumming!

Thanks again,

Chris
